Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapists at Tru Physical Therapy are legally and ethically responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of all physical therapy treatment programs initiated in the clinic. This responsibility often includes educating patients and their families and supervising physical therapist assistants, physical therapy technicians, students, and other healthcare workers in carrying out the plan of care. They are responsible for coordinating with any healthcare professionals that are working with their patients and referring patients to specialists when appropriate.

Prerequisites:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree of PT from an accredited University. 
  • Possess a license to practice PT in state of Nevada.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of patient age group and injuries.
  • Ability to plan, organize and direct patients and staff.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certificate.

Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) at Tru Physical Therapy work as part of the team to provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist. PTAs implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.

Prerequisites:

  • Graduate from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
  • Possess a license to practice PTA in state of Nevada.
  • Show evidence of good physical and emotional well-being and maturity.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of patient age group and injuries.
  • Ability to plan, organize and direct patients and staff.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.

Physical Therapy Technician

The Physical Therapy Technician at Tru Physical Therapy is a non-professional, non-licensed worker who has completed on the job training programs. The technician’s primary function is to assist the physical therapist in carrying out non-clinical tasks while caring for individuals. The technician works only with the continuing supervision and direction of the therapist and carries out departmental duties and each treatment programs. The technician will carry out various clinic and front office duties under the direction of the physical therapist and front office manager.

Prerequisites:

  • Preferred HS diploma or GED
  • Complete relevant technical program
  • Show evidence of good physical and emotional well-being and maturity.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.

Front Office Staff

The Front office staff at Tru Physical Therapy have a variety of responsibilities. This position is primarily responsible for coordinating all functions necessary for an efficient and productive flow of patients between check-in, treatment, and check-out. This position is a point-of-contact for all non-clinical patient service including managing the patient scheduling; collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments; maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records; maintaining the front desk area; and providing outstanding customer service to our patients. 

Prerequisites:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, letters, memos and emails. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, patients, and contacts outside the organization. 
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required.
